Hawaiʻi Dementia Initiative is a new statewide initiative aiming to make Hawaiʻi more dementia friendly by promoting early detection, connecting individuals with dementia, caregivers, and their families to resources, and fostering a safe and supportive community. Within my proposed identity I incorporated elements that reflect the Hawaiian community and encapsulate the feeling of wellness. I started by finding inspiration within HDI’s mission and creating word lists based on keywords. This led to initial sketches where these ideas were put into a visual form.
